FYE had a collection of Dwight Yoakam's first three albums on sale for $7. Hooray! Barnes and Noble also had U2 by U2 on sale for $8. I'm a sucker for a sale.
I spent Friday through Sunday morning in Knoxville. It makes me miss calm living in a environment that doesn't double as your employer. The Hyundai got a bath, oil change, and wax. Levee hung out the basement for the duration of these procedures.
In preparations for the inevitable replacement of Erica's Jeep, I test drove a Chevy Cruze at West Chevrolet. I keep going back and forth between selling both of our vehicles as part of the down payment for a new car, or keeping the Hyundai and buying a new car. Either way, the Jeep has to go and go soon. The benefit of the Hyundai is that it's paid off and still has relatively low mileage (80K).
At some point during my last year of Grad school, I put Neil Young's Live Rust on my computer. It was in the bin of CDs that Dr. Briley deposited in the GA office for us to sift through. Friday afternoon was the first time in which I actually spent time listening to it. As such, it dominated my stereo for the weekend. The version of "Like a Hurricane" is superb.
