For some reason I've embarked on some strange binge on country music, mainly Hank Williams, Hank Williams Jr. and a few miscellaneous others (granted none of them the mainstream pop-country one typically hears on the radio).

I've been a fan of Hank Williams for a long time. In my younger years, my brother would consistently play Hank Jr., and by association, I became familiar with many of his songs. Who knows where this will wind up. I bought The New South tonight at Mr. K's for a measly $5.

In other news, school is still a pain, but the end is in sight.

I became engaged on September 28th to one Erica Denise Rogers.

School is humming along.

Work kept me up to 2 am last night with reports.

After purchasing one of my textbooks online, I received a $5 credit from Amazon.com for mp3 purchases. I purchased the acoustic version of Bruce Cockburn's "Lovers in a Dangerous Time."

I've decided to do make my capstone report the neighborhood plan Johnson City is having me do. This also means that I'm at ETSU until at least May. Hopefully after that, I'll have completed my capstone and will be able to find a job. It is also still my hope that the job at Johnson City becomes open by that time. We shall see.

Nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight, got to kick at the darkness 'till it bleeds daylight

All and all I need to get my ass in gear for grad school work. This semester may or may not be very difficult, but it will be my last full-time semester. I do believe that class will be annoying. If working at the city over the summer taught me anything, its that academia is simply that. Within the confines of the classroom is a lack of realism to the nuts and bolts of planning.

Work is work. Its very busy here, but I have a nice apartment and a fish named Grover.
